Talent Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Rio Management Pty Ltd (Sydney, NSW, Australia) operates the Rio Recruiting talent profile for job seekers. For personal information in your talent account and profile, we are the organisation responsible under the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)).

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use talent features, we may process:

• Account details - name, email, password or Google sign-in identifiers, and when you accepted the Talent Terms.
• Profile fields - headline, summary, location, phone, contact email, LinkedIn or website links, experience, education, skills, languages, and certifications you enter or accept from an extract draft.
• Documents - resumes, cover letters, and other files you upload, plus related file metadata.
• Visibility preferences - for example private vs eligible for recruiter search once that feature ships.
• Technical and security logs needed to run and protect the service.

3. How we use information

We use this information to provide your talent account and profile, store and display your documents, run optional AI extract when you upload a resume or cover letter, secure the service, and communicate about the product. We do not sell your talent profile or resume data.

4. AI / Gemini processing

When you upload a resume or cover letter and run extract, relevant document content may be sent to Google Gemini so we can draft profile fields for you to review (extract-talent-profile). Content is sent only when that action runs. Outputs are drafts; you decide what to keep. See our Talent Terms.

5. Who can see your profile

Other talents never see your profile. Recruiting organisations using Rio Recruiting may see searchable profiles (Actively looking or Open to opportunities) once recruiter search ships. Do not contact excludes you from search. Recruiting organisation users always have a personal talent profile as well: organisation recruiting records stay separate from that personal profile.

6. Retention and security

We retain account and profile data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for backups, dispute handling, or legal obligations. We use access controls and hosting practices appropriate for an early-access SaaS product.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some subprocessors (including cloud hosting and Google Gemini) may process information outside Australia. Where we do so, we take steps consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, subject to limited exceptions. Contact us to exercise those rights or raise a privacy concern.
