Talent Terms and Conditions
Last updated 23 October 2026. Early-access terms for talent (job-seeker) accounts on the Rio Recruiting platform operated by Rio Management Pty Ltd. Product draft for counsel review - not formal legal advice.
1. Agreement
These Talent Terms apply when you create a talent profile or use talent-only features (resume upload, personal career profile, and related tools). By signing up as talent, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create a talent account. Our Talent Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and resume data. Organisation and recruiter accounts are covered by the separate Recruiting Terms and Conditions.
2. Talent service (no subscription billing)
A talent-only account lets you manage a personal profile and documents in the talent pool. Talent-only accounts do not pay and are not charged a subscription for talent features. Recruiting organisation plans and billing do not apply to talent-only use. If you later create or join a recruiting organisation, those recruiting Terms and any plan pricing will apply to that organisation use.
3. Your responsibilities
You must provide accurate details, keep credentials secure, and upload only documents you are entitled to share. You are responsible for the content of your resume, cover letter, and profile. Do not upload others’ personal information without a lawful basis, or use the service for spam or unlawful activity.
4. AI-assisted profile fill
When you upload a resume or cover letter, we may use AI to read that document and suggest profile fields (for example name, experience, education, and skills). This runs through our extract-talent-profile feature and may send document content to a third-party model provider (currently Google Gemini) to generate the draft. AI outputs are drafts only - we update profile fields from the file where the extract returns a value; you should review and correct them. We do not warrant that AI outputs are accurate, complete, or free from bias or error. Do not upload content you are not permitted to process that way.
5. Job status and recruiting use
Your job status (Actively looking, Open to opportunities, or Do not contact) controls whether recruiters may find you in search once that feature is available. Other talents never see your profile. If you have a recruiting organisation account, you always also have a personal talent profile (dual-role): recruiting tools stay under your organisation membership; talent profile data remains tied to your user account and is covered by these Talent Terms and the Talent Privacy Policy in addition to the Recruiting Terms.
6. Privacy
We process your account details, profile fields, and uploaded documents to provide the talent service, including AI-assisted extraction described above. See our Talent Privacy Policy for collection, use, retention, and your rights under the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not sell your personal information. The organisation Privacy Policy covers recruiting workspaces separately.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access other users’ or organisations’ data, probe or abuse the platform, upload malware, or misrepresent your identity or qualifications.
8. Availability and changes
Early access is provided as-is. Features may change. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or threaten platform security.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Rio Management is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the talent service (including reliance on AI drafts or outcomes of any recruiting process). Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
